HERSHEY — Hollidaysburg Area High School’s Gretta Rhodes and Ella Jodon will compete in the PIAA Class 3A Girls Doubles Tennis Championships on Friday.
Rhodes, a junior, and Jodon, a senior, are the District 4-6 3A champs and will face District 3’s second-seeded Lexi Lakatosh and Sophie Lanius of Red Lion in the first round at 10 a.m. Friday at the Hershey Racquet Club.
Central Cambria seniors Corinne Markovich and Andie McCollough, the District 6 Class 2A champs, will face District 2’s top-seeded Madeline Defaber-Schumacher and Bella Aniska of Riverside at 2 p.m. Friday.
The quarterfinals are also Friday with the semifinals and finals slated for Saturday.
In singles action Friday, State College junior Quiana Guo meets Manheim Township’s Avery Palandjian at 8 a.m. in Class 3A.
In Class 2A singles action, Bedford senior Josie Shuke plays Villa Maria Academy’s Anna Poranski, and Westmont Hilltop senior Alyssa Kush faces Riverside’s Karissa Ghigiarelli, at noon Friday.
